First Harlequin Kradam Fest: Rules Reminder Post

Ahhhh! I’m so excited! I can’t wait to read all the great fic that is going to come out of this fest, so let’s get to it! First of all, thanks so much to everyone who submitted such awesome prompts. And now, a *coff* quick review of the rules.

Prompt Claiming:

~To claim a prompt, comment to the prompt post with the prompt number and tell us if you’re claiming it for fanfic, fanart or both.

~You may claim more than one prompt, but please keep it reasonable. Don’t claim ten prompts unless you believe you can fic/art them all.

~Prompts may be claimed by more than one person and you may claim your own prompt. Also, you did not have to submit a prompt in order to claim a prompt.


Submission Requirements:

~Your submission(s) for the Harlequin Kradam Fest must be new.

~All ratings are welcome, though this is not the place for Kris, Adam friendship fic or Gen fic. As a Harlequin Fest, some element of romance is required.


Posting:

~Your subject line should follow this format:

Fanfic (or Fanart): Title, Rating by Author Name

~You may post your submission here or a merely link to it. If you post your Fanfic here, please put the story itself behind a cut. If you post your Fanart here, everything except two or three teaser icons or thumbnails must be placed behind a cut. Anything not-worksafe must be placed behind a cut. Get the idea? *g*

The only exception is that if your journal is locked you must post your fic here so that it is available to everyone.

~Please include an appropriate header outside the cut and include the prompt in your header so we all know what you wrote.

~Your fic should be complete and posted all at once. Two parters or chaptered fic is welcome, but the fic must be finished and posted in its entirety.

~Fic/Art may be posted to the comm from July 6 through September 14, when the Fest officially closes.


ETA: I forgot to mention that, for those of you who archive your fic at AO3, one of my wonderful co-mods set up a Harlequin Kradam collection, with a sub-collection for our first fest: hk_round01.

ETA2: Fanart includes (but is not necessarily limited to) the following: Animated Buttons, Banners/Headers, Book Covers, Colorbars, Fanmixes, Icons, Manips, Music Vids, Wallpapers.

Sooo...my fic for this fest might have accidentally turned into my rpf_big_bang. Which will be posted in October. Is there some kind of amnesty period involved, possibly, maybe? *bats eyes hopefully*

No, sorry, there's no amnesty period, and while we might consider bending that rule for a week or so, nearly a month would be too long.

I understand. What I might do then is claim a different prompt that I can write a shorter fic for in the mean time, then save the original one for my BB, if that's all right with you guys?

Not stupid, but just in case anyone else has the same question I'll answer anyway. There is no word min/max. We'd originally contemplated a min of 1000 words, but then I figured that, given the prompts, fic would generally exceed that min anyway so it didn't really matter.
