~ Kris is the crownprince and supposed to get married soon. his parents have found a very nice bride for him but Kris is in love with one of the house musicians Adam. The parents dont think that Adam is a fit spouse for a future king and tell Kris that if he doesnt marry the girl the throne will go to his bad selfish cousin.
Or course Adam tells Kris that he should just marry her and and quits his job.
During the dress rehersal Kris breaks down though and tells his parents that he'd rather abdicated because he cant rule a country with a broken heart.
